Description

A quick and flavorful recipe featuring juicy shrimp in a buttery garlic sauce, tossed with perfectly cooked pasta. This dish is perfect for weeknights or special dinners.


Ingredients

•12 oz linguine or spaghetti

•1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

•4 tablespoons unsalted butter

•2 tablespoons olive oil

•4 garlic cloves, minced

•1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

•Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

•1/2 cup pasta water (reserved)

•2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

•2 tablespoons chopped parsley

•Lemon wedges (for serving)


Instructions

1.Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain the rest.

2.Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

3.Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

4.Toss in shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

5.Add the remaining butter to the skillet and stir in the pasta water. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes to create a sauce.

6.Return the shrimp to the skillet, and toss in the cooked pasta. Stir in lemon juice and parsley.

7.Serve hot, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

•You can substitute linguine with fettuccine or angel hair pasta.

•For a spicy kick, increase red pepper flakes.

•Freshly grated parmesan makes an excellent topping.
