Ingredients
• 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup evaporated milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp ground nutmeg
• ¼ tsp salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar and melted butter until smooth.
3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Stir in evaporated milk, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and salt until fully combined.
5. Pour the mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top.
6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Let the pie cool completely before slicing. Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
• Garnish with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra flavor.
• For a deeper flavor, substitute brown sugar for half of the granulated sugar.
• Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
