  • Total Time: 4 hours 15 minutes (includes chilling)
  • Yield: 6 servings

Description

A creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet coleslaw just like KFC’s famous side dish. This homemade version is easy to make and pairs perfectly with fried chicken, burgers, and BBQ.

Ingredients

•8 cups finely chopped green cabbage

•1/4 cup shredded carrot

•2 tablespoons minced onion

•1/2 cup mayonnaise

•1/4 cup buttermilk

•1/4 cup whole milk

•1/4 cup granulated sugar

•2 tablespoons white vinegar

•2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

•1/2 teaspoon salt

•1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1.Finely chop the green cabbage and shred the carrot. Add them to a large mixing bowl with minced onion.

2.In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, whole milk, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

3.Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and mix thoroughly.

4.Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours for the best flavor.

5.Stir before serving and enjoy!

Notes

•For the best texture, ensure the cabbage is finely chopped (not shredded).

•Chilling overnight enhances the flavors.

•Works great as a topping for pulled pork sandwiches.
