Ingredients

For the stir fry:

•1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

•2 tablespoons vegetable oil

•1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

•1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced

•1 cup broccoli florets

•1 medium carrot, julienned

•2 cloves garlic, minced

•1 teaspoon grated ginger

For the sauce:

•1/3 cup soy sauce

•2 tablespoons oyster sauce

•2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar

•1 tablespoon cornstarch

•1/4 cup water

•1 teaspoon sesame oil


Instructions

1.Mix the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.

2.Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.

3.Heat the remaining oil in the same skillet. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4.Add broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers. Stir fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.

5.Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

6.Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and cornstarch for 10 minutes before cooking. You can substitute vegetables like snap peas, mushrooms, or zucchini.
